but was wondering if you happened to have any suggestions to enable me to
resolve a problem.

As I said, I've been out of the hobby for quite a while but a friend has
asked me to build him 3-4 model railroad theme bookends for his grandkids. As
such, unpowered diesel dummies would be perfect but Walthers and other
manufacturers haven't made/carried them in years.

I first tried AB Charles but was amazed that they're practically out of the
model RR business. Few items and those they had were all marked "reduced."
Probably has something to do with senior dying several years ago and his
son taking over.

At any rate, I've put out a number of e-mails to different dealers
nationwide with no responses yet.

Do you think any of your members might have any "junkers" sitting around
they might be willing to part with for a reasonable cost? As I said, all I
really need is a shell, frame and trucks for the displays...internal
components are completely useless.

Any other suggestions you might have towards coming up with dummies would
be most appreciated.

Regards,
