ALSO WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS A probationary membership guideline of tasks,
projects, general knowledge of the layout landmarks, museum history,
basically a punch list of obligations needed to achieve senior
membership....i have a rough TIER STATUS PLAN in wich members can
achieve senior membership elegibility.... TIER " I" IS a basic man of the
street wants to join...needs to complete basic requirements produce a
certain number of trees (25) perform light dutys in house keeping ie
cleaning of display glass light mopping or floor cleaning broom of main
hall sorting of magazine collections for show provide adequate
communications between publis and or other members (co geeniality)
constructive input and assistence general interest in perpetuating the
care and maintaining of the museum and obtaining general knowledge of the
desighn and history or the organization....(i do believe masons and other
fraternal groups empasize this) TIER II MEMBERTYPE THIS PERSON comes to
us with current knowledge of who we are our mission and posseses a
reasonable amount of model railroading back ground or historic interest in
our layout EXAMPLE members of another railroad organization division two
TCA or other railroad groups beaver newcastle mars historical society
trolley museum etc TIERS III APPLICANT THIS is some one who likes
what were doing shows up and says het id like to join i support youre
efforts heres what i can offer you im a ( LAWYER, TAX ACCOUNTANT,
ELECTIRICIAN, GENERAL CONTRACTOR, CUSTOMER SERVICE SALE AND PUBLIC RELATIONS
REP ETC ) basically they offer there professional services to benefit the
well being of the museum at no cost with exceptions to materials permits
needed to do selected work on propertys of WPMRM............ray its a rough
outline of a more stringent quallification guidline.....ALSO SUGGEST WHILE
WE DO HAVE THE TIME membership CHANGES IN THE KEY PROGRAM A CLAUSE SHOULD
BE IMPLIMENTED THAT THE president reserves rights to limit or not permit
members on there choice to have keys with out stating any giving reason
YES THE ISSUE WOULD HAVE BEEN MUTE IN THE HERBIE MASON ISSUE BUT WE DONT
NEED questionable people running around with out others there todays worlds
getting some real winners out there and if you cant beat em ya sure can
stand over them...
