Social Media Contest Rules

 Overview

The Western Pennsylvania Model Railroad Museum (WPMRM) will be holding a weekly sweepstakes contest.  Participants can enter by using Facebook, Twitter or Google Plus by Following the WPMRM, Performing an action on the weekly contest post (Like/Favorite/+1) or by re-sharing the weekly contest post.  Participants can enter once per social media service (ie up to 3 times) per week.  The contest week will run from Wednesday at 12:01 PM though the following Wednesday at 12:00 noon.  Winners will be randomly selected from the pool of entries and notified via social media.  Weekly winners will receive a free family admission (2 adults & 2 children, a $24 value) for the Annual Holiday Train Show.  The WPMRM will not sell, give or use your contact information for anything other than selecting a weekly winner.

Rules

  1. ENTRY - No purchase necessary to enter or win. Participants will enter by using Facebook, Twitter and / or Google Plus.  Participants will be considered once per social media service.  Performing multiple actions on one social media service will only constitute one entry.  Participants can enter by using  the social media services in the following manor:
    1. Facebook – Facebook users can perform any of the following actions to be considered:
      1. “Like” ‘The Western Pennsylvania Model Railroad Museum’ page
      2. “Like” the weekly contest post
      3. “Share” the weekly contest post
    2. Twitter – Twitter users can perform any of the following actions to be considered:
      1. “Follow” @wpmrm_org
      2. “Favorite” the weekly contest tweet
      3. “Re-tweet” the weekly contest tweet
    3. Google Plus – Google plus users can perform any of the following actions to be considered:
      1. “Circle” ‘The Western Pennsylvania Model Railroad Museum’ page
      2. “+1″ the weekly contest post
      3. “Reshare” the weekly contest post
  2. Entry Period - The contest start date will be announced via the three social media services.  The weekly entry period will be a seven day period starting at 12:01 PM Eastern time on Wednesday and will conclude at 12:00 PM (noon) on the following Wednesday.  The contest will conclude on the closest Wednesday to December 31st.
  3. Eligibility – This contest is open only to legal U.S. residents, over the age of 18. Memebers of the WPMRM and their families are not eligible. Only one winner per household per Holiday Show.
  4.  Winner Selection  – All users who who complete at least one action per social media service will be entered in a random drawing.  One winner will be randomly selected from all of the entries for that week.  If a winner declines the prize another winner will be randomly selected.
  5. Prizes – Weekly winners will receive a family admission (two adults and two children, a $20 value ) for the current Holiday Train Show.  Prizes may not be exchanged for cash.  Free admission tickets will be sent via electronic mail. Free Admission ticket may only be used once.
  6. Winner Notification – Winners will be contacted via social media so that they can be contacted via email.
  7. Use of contest information – The WPMRM will not sell, give or use your contact information for anything other than selecting a weekly winner.
  8. Not Endorsed by Facebook, Twitter or Google Plus By participating in this contest, you acknowledge that this contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or Google and release Facebook, Twitter and Google from any and all liability arising from or related to this contest. The information you are providing for this contest is being provided to The WPMRM and not to Facebook, Twitter or Google, and will be used to notify you if you have won.
  9. Limitations of Liability – The WPMRM is not responsible for late, lost or misdirected email or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur.  If for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort, The WPMRM may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest.  Entrants further agree to release The WPMRM from any liability resulting from, or related to participation in the contest.
  10. Conduct – All contest participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.  The WPMRM in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person it finds to be tampering with the entry process, the operation of its web site or is otherwise in violation of these rules.
